Here's a quick guide on how to merge horizontal cells:

  • Pick the cells you would like to merge horizontally

  • Select the Format button from the menu

  • Select the Merge Cells option

  • Click on "Merge Horizontally"

You will notice that all the selected cells are merged, and you have your header! If you have already written a title before merging these cells, you must ensure the content is in the top-left cell, or it will disappear when you merge them.

If you lose your work, you can always press redo to unmerge cells and try again.

Merge Options in Google Sheets
